Exotel · #LikeAFriend · Brand campaign film
What does it feel like when a business really knows you? That was the question behind Exotel’s #LikeAFriend campaign.
Exotel connects customer conversations across channels, teams and AI. Enki Studio’s task was to turn that invisible capability into an experience anyone could recognise. We chose a day that starts with familiar rituals, slips into the frustration of being treated like a stranger, and ends with someone who remembers without being asked.
An 80-second story about the relief of being known.
01 / The brief
The film makes the customer’s experience the point of entry.
Customer experience can sound abstract when described through systems, channels and workflows. For the person seeking help, it is immediate: does the next person understand what has already happened?
The campaign needed to show the cost of lost context without becoming a product explainer. We built the narrative around one recognisable irritation: a small problem that gets bigger every time the customer has to repeat himself.
The technology stays in the background. The feeling it should create leads the film.
We looked for a relationship where recognition is effortless. The dog at home knows his person’s rhythms, moods and arrival before a word is spoken. That gave the campaign a simple emotional language for memory and context.
The dog is the heart of the story because the relationship makes Exotel’s promise tangible: every interaction should begin with what is already known.

Familiarity is established in the small rituals of an ordinary morning.

Familiarity is established in the small rituals of an ordinary morning.
We let the story do the explaining. An easy morning establishes what it means to be known. A declined card sends the customer through calls, menus and transfers. Each new voice asks him to start again. When he comes home, the pattern finally breaks.

The same café, the same order, the comfort of routine.

Another handoff means another explanation from the beginning.

At home, no verification or retelling is needed.
