Turning research into a report.

Comviva’s Global CMO Survey Report 2026 examined the gap between AI marketing investment and measurable returns. It was written for telecom and retail marketing leaders, within the MobiLytix Marketing Studio business.

Enki’s brief covered concept development, graph design and editorial structure for an A5, centre-stapled publication. The challenge was to make a dense research argument clear across a complete report.

Making hidden costs visible.

A technology-built iceberg gives the research a visual premise. The city above the water represents visible capability; the larger structure below suggests the costs and dependencies that are harder to measure.

The waterline continues through the interiors, connecting revenue and cost comparisons to the same idea. Comviva’s symbol anchors the report in the master brand while the illustrated environment gives this research its own identity.

A hierarchy for the findings.

The key-findings spread supports both scanning and closer reading: large percentages lead into supporting statements, then a fuller explanation and chart.

Horizontal bars accommodate longer category labels. Separate reading areas keep the data legible alongside the illustration.

01 / Findings

The executive scan.

Large percentages lead into short statements, giving each finding an immediate reading order.

02 / Context

The fuller argument.

A heading and supporting text explain why the findings matter.

03 / Chart

The comparison.

A separate chart area keeps the question, categories and values together.

Continuity across the book.

Ice, submerged structures and aquatic creatures extend the concept across the report. Dark spreads emphasise charts and findings; lighter pages support longer passages and the research’s five patterns.

The Speed, Experience and Trust discussion uses white panels for its practical detail. The environment stays familiar while the page treatment changes with the content.

A lighter setting gives longer passages more room.

Refining colour and sequence.

The February review asked for muted or translucent brand gradients where saturated red and orange competed with the blue theme. It also requested additional sea-creature illustrations as sentence highlights.

Methodology & Demographics and the Comviva Research Centre moved to pages 22–23. This kept the main argument together and placed supporting research information at the end.

Preparing the report for print.

The A5 format was specified as centre-stapled rather than lay-flat, making the fold and spread composition part of the production brief.

A press-quality PDF with cut marks and margins was handed over on 23 February. The publication mockups show the intended format; the reader below contains the final artwork.
